Kayla Pea:

Where are you from?  

• Tallahassee, Florida

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

• I have 2 cats because I live in a small apartment, but as soon as I get a house I can’t wait to get a puppy lol.

How did you end up in VB?

• I moved to Virginia 3 years ago when I decided to be a nanny for my nephew who had just been born. The plan was originally only for a couple months until a spot opened up in the air force daycare center, but I met my boyfriend and decided to stay!

Why did you decide to work at #KWHilltopVB?

• I love being the Director of First impressions here because of all of the great people I get to work with and all of the friendships I have made with people who I would have never known without this job.

What are some of your favorite things to do in VB?

• Going to the beach and hanging out with the friends I have made at our office. I am also in school, so I don’t have TOO much spare time!

What would you say the top things/places tourists must do/visit before they leave the Virginia Beach area?

• Before you leave the VA Beach area…you definitely NEED to explore the Nauticus Ship in Norfolk and take a walk along the ocean front.

Where are you from?  

• Born in VB; graduated from Great Bridge High School and Old Dominion University (B.S. in Psychology; M.S.Ed in Counseling)

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

• My husband and I have been together for 20 years; have two teenage daughters; a Lab named Toby and a cat named Troy; I love:  being outdoors, competitive sports, learning, laughing, DIY projects and Jesus!

How did you end up in VB?

• We like being close to the water; close to my husband’s office; solid school system; husband grew up in Kempsville.

Why Did You Choose a Career Real Estate?

• The heart behind my career in Real Estate is intentionally helping clients connect their goals and expectations with today’s market. I understand what it is like to stand in my clients’ shoes. Relocating several times – buying and selling houses of my own – has afforded me a certain sensitivity toward my clients’ journey, which can be attributed to the perspective I gained through my personal experience. In addition, through my real estate experience, I acquired skills to retain knowledge of available inventory, which is valuable in our time-sensitive culture. Born and raised in the Tidewater area, having navigated my two children through the Virginia Beach school system, serving on several administrative committees, and chairing extra-curricular organizations, I greatly appreciate the diverse needs of families in the community.

What are some of your favorite things to do in VB?

• Go to the beach, boating, paddle boarding, walk along the boardwalk, concerts, farmer’s market., real estate!

What would you say the top things/places tourists must do/visit before they leave the Virginia Beach area?

• Walk the Boardwalk, have a picnic at the Bay, tour the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse, visit the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center, Ocean Breeze Water Park, walk the trails at Seashore Park.
